Ta'ab has its origin in the Mayan language and means “salt” which, more than a simple condiment, is the spark that awakens the senses and intertwines the ingredients of each dish in a culinary journey that begins with a simple touch and expands. to the heart, offering a story of flavor in every bite. In its simplicity, salt is a tribute to the complexity of taste, a reminder that the simplest can be the most extraordinary, both in gastronomy and in life itself.

  • At its center is a stylized Mayan pyramid that represents the ancient architecture and the bottom-up experience the restaurant offers.
  • At the top of the pyramid there is an “eight” in Mayan that recalls part of the geographical location of our site.
  • “Ta’ab” is accentuated with an apostrophe in the shape of a salt shaker, making a double allusion to the word that gives its name to our gastronomic project.

Salt not only improves flavors; awakens memories, connects cultures and evokes emotions. Its presence is subtle, but its absence is deeply notable.

Ta’ab, una experiencia culinaria en el centro de Coyoacán -una de las zonas con mayor tradición en la Ciudad de México-, invita a los comensales a un viaje sensorial único en su patio central o en alguno de sus salones. Al entrar al restaurante, te sumerges en un oasis de tranquilidad y regocijo, lejos del bullicio de la ciudad y la zona, haciendo de cada desayuno, comida o cena una experiencia íntima y exclusiva. Los detalles modernos se entrelazan con la arquitectura tradicional coyoacanense, creando un ambiente que celebra tanto el pasado como el presente.
